Discs for all reasons

Designed for light-to-medium duty use, Neon discs tackle a variety of tasks on soft metals up to hard-to-grind stainless steel and carbon steels. They remove welds and stock and can also be used for blending and edge chamfering.  Neon products feature a proprietary resin bond system and heavy-duty fiber backing for improved grain adhesion. Neon is tested to outlast and outperform competitive products by up to 30%. As a result, Neon is a popular choice in MRO facilities, foundries, primary metal shops, fabricators and wood shops.

BlackHawk offers three options for Neon abrasives:

F726 aluminum oxide ceramic fiber discs. Available in packs of ten discs, which are ideal for small jobs, carrying to a job site; they can also be dispensed from vending machines. Quick-change format discs are available.

R766 and R766X belts and narrow belts.  Premium abrasive and aluminum oxide blend. Available in stock and made-to-order styles. R766 aluminum oxide (green)/zirconia (blue) blend has a unique, durable Y-weight waterproof polyester backing for extended life on dry grinding. R766X is a blend of aluminum oxide and Norton SG ceramic abrasive with a flexible X-weight polyester backing for roughing and blending. Choose Type 27 (flat or high density flat) or Type 29 (conical). Type 27 Flat features a flexible plastic back that wears away as the flap disc grinds, allowing full use of the flap. These discs are easily trimmable and conformable and need less pressure at peak performance. Type 27 High Density Flat and Type 29 have a fiberglass back for high strength; they are lightweight and absorb vibrations.
