Non-woven surface finishing flap wheels are an ideal choice for a wide variety of blending and finishing applications common in the metal fabrication, welding and polishing industries. Designed to deliver a consistent finish with a uniform rate of cut, flap wheels wear away continually exposing fresh abrasives. There are two types of non-woven flap wheels, non-woven only abrasive flaps where finishing is the primary application interleaf with alternating cloth and non-woven abrasive flaps (less conformable, more aggressive) for stock removal and finishing. Interleaf flap wheels must always be run in the direction indicated by the arrow. Mount this Merit® AO fine grit steel shank non-woven interleaf flap wheel on your grinder for fine grit light cleaning and finishing applications. The wheel features alternating cloth and non-woven flaps for more aggressive and less conforming grinding than flap wheels with all non-woven flaps and less aggressive grinding than all cloth flap wheels. A premium aluminum oxide grain pairs with a durable resin bond and web for consistent cutting and sturdy, yet conformable grinding on intricate shapes and contours. As the resin bond and web wear away, fresh abrasives are continuously exposed to maintain a steady cut rate.

  • Very fine grit recommended for light cleaning and finishing
  • Tough yet conformable to intricate shapes and contours without changing the workpiece dimension
  • Premium aluminum oxide grain for excellent cutting and finishing, with durable resin bond and web that wears away continually exposing fresh abrasives
  • Non-woven flap wheels wear away continually exposing fresh abrasives
  • Non-rusting and no workpiece contamination
  • Alternating cloth and non-woven flaps make these wheels less conforming and more aggressive than flap wheels with all non-woven flaps, but less aggressive than all cloth flap wheels
