Metalworking: HSRA solutions from Sandvik Coromant

Sandvik Coromant added two series of ceramic end mills for optimized performance in shoulder and face milling of nickel-based alloys. The latest brazed ceramic CoroMill® 316 and ceramic CoroMill® Plura end mills offer a more productive method for roughing in ISO S materials compared to standard carbide milling cutters. The unique CC6060 grade is supported by negative geometry that provides a tough cutting edge and 20 to 30 times greater speed than conventional solid carbide tools.

Beyond shoulder milling and face milling, the new end mills can also be used for pocket milling, helical interpolation, ramping and slot milling. The series also includes a ceramic ball-nose version of CoroMill® 316, for blisk machining. This profile-milling solution is suitable for semi-finishing operations.

Clean and Strip XT Pro and XT Pro Extra Cut discs deliver superior results for rust and coatings removal thanks to a faster speed rating, convenient quick-change threaded hub and extended life. The reengineered fabric is tougher, reduces chunking and performs well on edges. Low-sparking, silicon carbide XT Pro is designed for routine removal and surface prep and preserved workpiece shape. XT Pro Extra Cut is for heavy-duty jobs, thick coatings, weld refinement and adhesion prep.

3M 769F Series Flap Discs feature a backing designed to wear just the right amount to provide consistent cut over a wide range of medium- and heavy-duty applications. The precision grain slices through metal consistently with longer life for enhanced productivity in weld grinding, beveling, blending, surface prep, finishing, and scale removal. A lightweight plastic hub option is available. 769F Flap Discs are a must-have for fabricators, automotive and marine and machinery manufacturing.

Painting: 3M^TM Accuspray^TM ONE outguns the competition

The 3M Accuspray ONE Spray Gun System with PPS^TM is lightweight, easy to clean and packs the punch of a metal spray gun. Five atomizing head sizes make it a versatile tool for any painting job from heavy coatings, medium-to-high viscosity coatings and finish coats.

Facilities Maintenance: Guard against dirt and liquids

The 3M^TM Dirt Trap Surface Protection System protects walls, floors and machinery from dirt and particulates. It helps to improve productivity by reducing maintenance and cleanup time, and it lessens foreign object damage. Rugged and heat-resistant, it is excellent for traffic areas and hides footprints. The low-tack adhesive backing keeps the product secure where placed but is easily removed. Available in rolls with dispenser and applicator accessories.

Where protection from water, solvents, oil and other fluids is vital, try the 3M Self-Stick Liquid Protection Fabric. It is especially useful to preserve workspaces and eliminate rework on finished surfaces.
